NYSED will extend the deadline for Variance Application submissions to 4:00 PM on Tuesday, September 6, 2011 for districts and BOCES who have lost power during August 29-31, 2011 due to Hurricane Irene. If your district or BOCES has been affected by a power outage during this timeframe and plans to submit a Variance Application, we request that you inform us of your intent to submit an application by emailing us at rubricvar@mail.nysed.gov and stating your intent to submit a variance for a principal or teacher practice rubric. If you do not have email access due to the storm, you may call us with the same information at (518) 486-2573.
