What’s Science Got to Do With It?
The Buffalo Museum of Science (BMS) offers its fourth Science Café happy hour lecture series on Thursday, February 7 from 5:30pm to 8:30pm at the Museum. Presentations by BMS Science Learning & Interpretation staff will focus on the development of our body and what can go horribly wrong when it comes to matters of the heart. A heart dissection and other science demonstrations will also be featured during the evening.
- Doug Borzynski, BMS Facilitator of Learning will explore the development of the cell into a complex organism and how/why cell organelles develop into organs.
- Brian Enright, BMS Science Learning Manager, will explain the endocrine system’s response emotions and compare the hormonal and physiological responses to love, happiness, jealousy, and heartbreak.
Entry is free for BMS members or $5 for non-members payable at the door or online at www.sciencebuff.org. Admission fee includes access to the museum’s 2nd floor galleries and demonstrations. A cash bar will also be available. This event is for adults 21+ only.
