War of 1812 re-enactors will help kick off a year of incredible events that will commemorate the bicentennials of major events in Western New York history, like the burning of Buffalo by British troops in December 1813. The 2013 schedule includes events ranging from battle re-enactments to tall ship visits.

The Niagara 1812 Bicentennial Legacy Council is a bi-national not-for-profit organization established to commemorate the War of 1812 and celebrate the 200 years of peace between Canada and the United States.
