Video: Schumer Pressed on Gillibrand’s Competency

If your looking for something to trash David Paterson is on, we can give you a hundred different reasons. But this entire backlash against Governor Paterson is ridiculous.

He said from the beginning of the process that he would not make an appointment until Hillary Clinton was cleared for the Sec. of State job and he did just that. It took him 53 days because, well,  that’s how long that process took.

While an election should be mandatory for this process, the Governor picked the two qualities he was pressured most on. He picked and women and he picked an “semi” upstater. If all the hacks can come up with to rip her on is her stand on gun control, it looks like a pretty decent pick. But only time will tell.

While the jury is still out on Gillibrand, especially when it comes to her thoughts and impressions on western New York.
