A Belated Thanksgiving

‘Canes? Check.

Dolphins? Check!

Flyers? Check! In their arena? Double Check!!

The scheduling gods gave us Buffalo fans a helluva weekend, chock full of games against rivals both old and new. Had things gone poorly, the entire weekend, instead of being about catching up with family and having a good time, would have regressed to nothing more than gripefests about the current sorry state of Buffalo sports fandom.

Instead? Well instead I’m having one of the best Mondays I’ve had in a while.

So thanks Sabres. Thanks Bills. Thanks Tim Connolly for your effort on Friday. Thanks Ryan Miller and Mike Grier for kickstarting the rest of the crew on Saturday. And thanks to Ricky Williams and the Dolphins coaching staff for opting for that pass attempt on your first drive. That was awesome.

In the big picture, we still need a better backup goalie, we still need a better power play, and we still need a better everything for the Bills. But for now I’ll just enjoy the fact that we went 3-0 against three of the biggest ass-bag teams around.

Now if only we got a foot of snow during yesterday’s 4th quarter…
