No rest for the weary as Buffalo plays their fourth game in six nights. Amazingly enough, a win tonight would make the Sabres 3-1 over those four games, a mark that would not have seemed possible after the shutout loss in Washington.
I am assuming, since I have heard nothing to the contrary, that Buffalo will be stuck with Nathan Paetsch playing wing while Kaleta and Gaustad are both out. The Sabres are going to be tired enough without having the benefits of a fourth line.
As for Saturday’s game, I thought Sekera played his best game in quite some time ( easy to write when he hasn’t played much this year) and that MacArthur had a solid game as well. Oh, and, duh. Mike Grier was solid as well. Funny how when Grier was on a team full of hardworking guys he never really stood out on the ice, but with this team (infer what you will there) you notice him all the time.
Buffalo goes for their seventh straight win against Toronto tonight at 7:00. I’ll be watching “elsewhere” as I have DirecTV.
GAH!! The game is on Versus?!?! I may need to go “Christmas shopping” tonight…
None of the “stores” had Versus either — I had to miss a game. I hate missing a Leaf beat-down.
