Buffalo Sabres Finalize Roster

The Buffalo Sabres have finalized their roster for the opening of the 2006-2007 season. The roster was set after Daniel Paille (LW) was sent down to the Rochester Americans of the AHL and Chris Thorburn (C/RW) was waived. Buffalo had hoped that Thorburn would clear waivers and get assigned to Rochester but the Pittsburgh Penguins prevented that by claiming him off the waiver wire.

The Buffalo Sabres 22 man roster is listed below. This year’s squad features three newcomers; free agent Jaroslav Spacek and rookies Jiri Novotny and Nathan Paetsch.
