Time to Rock the Vote

The Sabres are fading in the NHL All-Star voting.

The top forwards are now Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin, and Alex Ovechkin. Come on, people! Briere and Afinogenov are close behind them, although I would rather see Ovechkin in than Malkin, for sure. Incidentally, Drury is seventh and Thomas Vanek, as a write-in, is 13th.

At defense, ugh. Bryan McCabe is running away with it, followed by Jay Bouwmeester. Soupy trails him by 14,000 or so votes. Tallinder is sixth, not bad for a guy who hasn’t played in a month.

It’s a three-man race in net as Marc-Andre Fleury leads Ryan Miller by 15,000 votes and leads Martin Brodeur by 27,000.

Seriously, if the best team in hockey doesn’t even get one starter in the All-Star game I may weep openly.
