Losman to Start Versus New England

I don’t think anyone should be surprised that JP Losman will be under center on Sunday night.

And I happen to agree with Jerry Sullivan that he shouldn’t get any slack if he fares poorly against New England. We’re all smart enough to judge JP on his entire body of work, and that body of work has been lacking to this point, capitalized by a pretty poor showing against Miami. We’re smart enough to know when a quarterback looks good in defeat and when he looks bad in defeat. If it’s the former, nobody few will be calling for JP’s head on Monday. If it’s the latter, he’s done.

And if the Bills somehow win, well…aw, nevermind.

Hey, this will work out great – It’s New England so they’ll either hurt J.P. (again) or make him look horrible… We will finally be done with the putz – we can put Edwards in and give him more development time – get a top 15 pick in the draft and take Mario Mannigham. Then next year Edwards will be a season ahead of schedule and have actual wide recievers to throw too – and maybe we won’t have to get excited when a team puts up a whole 225 total yards of offense in a game!!!

  2. fezafou says:

Me im not thinking top 15 draft pick, im thinking playoffs. So go ahead with your outlandish possibilities, but rationale people are worried about beating New England.

  3. trevor says:

I highly doubt any rational people are planning on beating New England.

  4. twoeightnine says:

So who’s going to the game? I just picked up a ticket and I’m trying to figure out tailgating.

  5. D.C. Fan says:

fezafou – Playoffs??? Man, I wish I was that optomistic. What I am psyched for is finishing 7-9 or 8-8… Going into next year healthy, with Edwards, Lynch, Evans, and a 1st round pick WR… picking up an extra 2-3 wins and ending the season 9-7, or 10-6… This team has played their asses off for the Coaches this year – and i’m proud to be a Bills fan, but we are gonna be crushed Sunday night, probably be lucky to split the last few games, and be forced to listen to people blame the Coaches for not making the playoffs. Levy and Jauron have this team moving in the right direction, a few more top picks on Offense, and our Coordinator will look like a genius and Posluzny healthy should make for a great future!

The Trent Edwards era begins at halftime.

So where will JP end up? Minnesota or Chicago? Too bad. He seems like a good guy. Maybe less drumming and more homework.

  7. Dave S. says:

Rational people hope Lynch doesn’t get hurt and the final margin is under three TDs.

D.C. fan, you nailed it in everything you said. Agree 100%.

  8. SRR says:

This is a little off topic, but maybe we should be seeking a foreign buyer for the Buffalo Bills…and I don’t mean Canadian. A foreigner would be less likely to move them, and he might have deep pockets. Check out my take on this from my blog -

    What’s that saying?

    “Special Teams wins championships?”

    I can’t wait ’til February Oh-Eight!

  10. trevor says:

I could basically give two shits about pro football, but doesn’t it suck that Poz couldn’t get a year of experience under his belt before next year?

  11. vtTom says:

just hopeful our boys stay within the point spread – the puritans here in Northern New England don’t publisize such things; what is the point spread at for Sunday?

  12. Becky says:

Marshawn Lynch unlikely to play…possibly more than a one week problem…We’re doomed…More doomed than we were. The pressure will definitely be on the passing game.

“what is the point spread at for Sunday?”

    15-ish.

“the puritans here in Northern New England don’t publisize such things”

Do you have some sort of bfloblog-only web browser? I’m pretty sure that info is readily available throughout teh interwebs.

  14. Dave S. says:

    “Marshawn Lynch unlikely to play…”

Well, that pointspread should move up a tad.

Jeebus, can this team be any more snakebit?

I have admit I am a lazy surfer – if it aint loaded as a favorite – I’m not likely to go there.
bflo news, syracuse post, hamburg sun – I don’t venture too far – it’s risky w/ all those catholic sin forgivers out there.

How about those boys from the falls – playing good ball in Syracuse this year (so far) Next wed – Thee Ohio State!!!! in MSG no less.

  16. Jaquandor says:

WR in the first round? Aieee!

  17. Kevin says:

Just to note, we encourage anyone to go with a BfloBlog only web browser…

As soon as it includes a constant flow of porn I’ll switch.

  19. brian s. says:

Aren’t the top receivers (Evans, Parrish, Reed, Price) all 1st and 2nd round draft picks? We’ll start to look like the Lions soon if we take many more that early.

  20. twoeightnine says:

Evans was the only first rounder, Reed was an early 2nd rounder and Parrish and Price were late second rounders. Far from the Lions who like to waste top 10 picks on WRs.

  21. D.C. Fan says:

Peerless Price is allllllll washed up!!! – Next season – cut him

Roscoe is amazing for a 5′6″ midget – not a legit #2 Reciever

Josh Reed – would not be a #3 on most other teams, if we keep him make him a #4

This team needs a legit 6′1″ or taller WR who will force teams to not double team our only real WR Lee Evans.

Right now when we play the typical 4-3 D team, the CB is playing man on Evans and bumping him for the first 5 yards. Then either the OLB or the FS are coming over to doulbe and in some cases triple team Evans, leaving our other WR 1-1 but whom is unable to seperate… Hence the check downs and throw-aways.

A good #2 WR would force both safeties to help in coverage creating more runnig room for Lynch… Don’t believe me, watch the Pat’s 3-4 this weekend… Samuel will be on Evans all night, the OLB who doesn’t blitz will roll over to cover Evans between the line of scrimage and 15 yards… After that the FS will roll towards Evans and help in coverage and cut off the deep routes. This will leave Reed on the other side, 1st watch how many times he’s in single coverage, and doesn’t beat his man outside of 10 yards, and two watch how many times the SS doesn’t roll over but stays in the box to cover the middle (TE, HB, FB) and the run…

This team needs a legit, top tier WR to open up the run game, take pressure off of Lee Evans, and let the O coordinator dictate the Defense, and not the other way around
