I’m not dissing him, but I don’t remember seeing him so far out of the crease during the shootout, until lately…
I hate to rub salt in the wound, but I think Conklin is about to get another shutout. what a bitch.
Wow; Gratton scored twice and Doug Janik once as Tampa Bay beat the Rangers?
once again – our boys stepped on their dicks tonight.
will someone tell Tin Connolly to shoot the fucking puck when he comes off the boards into the slot – three goddamn times he’s alone in the middle – gotta look for the highlight reel pass – does he think he’s wayne gretzky or dale (glide) hawerchuk?
Ick…
I just hope this $10 million doesn’t fuck Vanek forever. This year is a waste for him. We’ll be lucky to get the last playoff spot. With our luck we will and be matched up with Ottawa in the 1st round. I can hardly wait…
Connolly pisses me off. He’s tragic with the puck. What the hell goes on in his head?
When did Miller become so sucky in shootouts? He used to be the Man!
So being an eternal optimist, I have to point out that despite the past two weeks of suckitude, we’re still on pace to finish 10th in the conference, just 4 points back of the 8th-place Isles. And guess who else is on track to miss the playoffs? The Rangers! That’d be fun.

I made the trip from upstate NY lastnight, and I have just a few thoughts:
First – the Prudential Center, it’s too nice for Newark.
Apparently, the Devils have priced a lot of their fans out of coming to their games. I was right behind the Sabres bench and there were more visiting fans than anything – lots of locals up in the nosebleeds though.
Second – Why not give Pommers the touch in the shootout? Go with the hot hand maybe, it couldn’t have been worse if Lindy laced-up himself.
Third – Chemistry, WTF!! The boys come out of the locker room looking pissed, but not in a vengeful, fire-in-the-belly sort of way. Being behind the bench, i got to see up-close just how miserable they are as a team. Hecht came out of the locker room and sat on the far end of the bench and was brooding all alone. Vanek wouldn’t quit whining, eventhough the devils were grabby like it was prom night. Vanek clearly can handle the pressure either – he was obviously cool playing 3rd fiddle last year. But he can’t handle Lindy coming down on him and he’s clearly just not the go-to guy he’s paid to be.
Kaleta’s had a nice hit or two, and tossed me a puck – but we’re totally screwed with the injuries we’ve got right now.
Sorry for the rant – but I know this is a sympathetic venue, and my workplace is filled with asshat ranger fans.
Banana Slug,
That’s some great insight! You don’t get to see the dynamic on the bench on TV. Thanks for sharing!
All – My brother sent me this link. It’d from CBC’s website, and it’s well worth the few minutes it takes to watch it!!! It’s a trip down memory lane with Rob Ray and Rene Robert in the Aud before they tear it down.

Thanks Wolf!
I also forgot to mention. Tallinder, this guy could skate into the corner with eggs in his pocket and not break one.
Slug,
That’s depressingly true of more players on our Team than just Tallinder…
Miller was expecting a ‘Yo Mama’ fight with Brodeur and not a shoot out, and thus was unprepared.

Slug dude,
You clearly need to be writing more posts!
