Remember this quote from the carnival barker who was pitching the Bills in Toronto series known as Ted Rogers?
“We’re going to charge high rates. We’re going to have all the seats sold — standing room only out to Queen Street, and the best is yet to come.â€
Sooo, that Toronto game must be sold out, right?
Well, no. Actually it is not. Actually, you can still get seats anywhere in the Rogers Center, except for the cheapest nosebleeds at $70 each. Besides those, I found single seats available in four sections, and plenty of seats together in the remaining five sections, plus seats in the 100-level Club seating.
Again, this game will sell out, but apparently not at the pace Professor Dickweed suggested it might. Back in the preseason one of Professor Dickweed sycophants had this to say when asked about the game not selling out:
“Ask me in December if there are any seats kicking around because, already, we know what the demand is for December. It’s huge.â€
Standing room only out to Queen Street, right? That’s why I get an e-mail every week from the Bills in Toronto series begging me to buy tickets. It’s different from this e-mail I received way back when, that was also on their blog:
We knew we would have great interest in the games and in tickets, but we had no idea how amazing the response would be. The bottom line is this: If you are lucky enough to be chosen in the random draw, DO NOT WAIT to buy the tickets. You’ll know if you were selected if you receive an e-mail with a time sensitive password. We had more than 180,000 ticket requests—way more than we can possibly accommodate at Rogers Centre.
Funny thing is, I do think Toronto would support NFL football – if it was their own team. but I think Torontonians know better than to be suckered into paying bullshit prices by a carnival barker trying to make himself look good.
Ol’ Ralph doesn’t look like quite the fool now, does he?

If Torontonians had their choice between a second NHL team or an NFL team, what do you think they’d pick?
They have a first NHL team?
Well, they’re listed in the standings anyhow.
Toronto should get a second NHL team…and have to endure Mats Sundin playing for THAT team.
