Game Eight Open Thread: Sabres at Avalanche
What a weekend. Avalanche tonight, the freaking Dolphins tomorrow, and the bonus hockey game against Ottawa at home on Monday.
My God, it’s a great year to be a Buffalo fan.

I still have that jersey. After stints at Georgetown and the U.S. Army, I have settled in DC where my Sabres, Bills and Hoyas passion runs unabated (I have season tickets to all 3). I believe that while supporting my franchises is good, I believe supporting them with data and statistics is better. -

Penn State has really impressed me this season, and Ohio State continues to be strong.

Why does Ruff use a guy who’s never scored a shootout goal in his life when he has Max and Poms and other experienced guys to pick from? It’s just stupid!
I am surprised not to see Pomminville out there, but Max probably wouldn’t have scored with Budaj on the bench.
Budaj couldn’t stop Max with a shotgun. A shootout goal might be the confidence builder that gets him going. Max was made for the shootout.
