According to a comment left by twoeightnine, Weber hopped a flight from Portland earlier today, which means it’s possible Tallinder is out tonight. If my damn phone works, I’ll update from the pregame skate tonight in comments.

Anyone who thinks mair should be suspended for that obviously wouldn’t want to have seen the Grade A fight in the hallway during one of my high school hockey games.

Mair was fined the league-maximum $2,500 for an incident in the hallway connecting the Sabres and Senators dressing room after Buffalo’s 5-2 loss to Ottawa.
When asked what he was trying to communicate to the Senators, he said, “We don’t play those guys until January, so I wanted to wish them a Happy Halloween.”
What did they say back?
“I think they said Merry Christmas.”
The Buffalo News’ John Vogl asked if Mair was trying to talk to Chris Neil or Jaarko Ruutu?
