Guess who has more points than the Buffalo Sabres so far this year? That’s right, nobody.
Guess who has fewer points than the Philadelphia Flyers? That’s right, nobody. But the good news is that Ottawa is only two points ahead of Philly.
Oh, the hazards of small sample sizes. But it sure is sweet to see.
None
I live in a van.

Also sweet to see, there’s three teams without a regulation loss.
And Buffalo has given both of those teams their only loss at all.
Let us not forget
The hockey season is a long and winding road …
Hey, whacking off comes in small bursts. Take it while you can get it.
It may be a long and winding road, but last year’s team would have folded like a house of cards after Miller put the puck in his own net.
It helps when your stars are performing as such, too.
Perhaps the Sabres have a Ticket to Ride to the finals
I really like the way the Sabres have Come Together this year. It was 17 games before they hit the 13 point mark last season. Considering they missed the playoffs by 4 points, this is a very good omen. Imagine how good they can be when healthy.
The season is but a fetus, but things are looking up for both our beloved teams.
Connolly, Gaustad and Rivet are Nowhere Men right now, and the Sabs could really use the Help.
But after a Hard Day’s Night, they are sure to emerge from the Helter Skelter pack that is the Northeast Division.
I’d work in a reference to Maxwell’s Silver Hammer, but let’s face it… Max isn’t exactly hammering anything these days.
And hey… anyone besides the 3 or 4 of us in the open thread last night notice that DREW STAFFORD IS OFFICIALLY ON A SCORING STREAK???? Awwwww yeaaaaaah. That’s what I’m talkin’ about.
And yes, two games is a streak, so shut up.
That’s what I call a character win. Coming back to do it after Miller’s own-goal reminded me of a 2006 game when the Sabres came back to beat Toronto after Ryan put one in his own net. It shows that this team has the same maturity and poise that two certain former-players-who-shall-not-be-named brought.

trevor – Amen brotha!
So, Max didn’t skate around the net with the puck picking up defenders and make a perfect pass to paetch to get the puck on net to mair? Everyone is saying how great that Paetch got the puck through, but Max clearly made that play happen.
Plus all around he was one of the better players on the ice last night.
OK what was that stupid arse play Max tried to do… all fancy pants stick handling at the blue line… he got caught by 2 Mini’s and turned over the puck. This is my huge complaint about him. Play simple hockey when you are down or close in score… now if your running the ice or if the score is huge in your advantage… then stick handle and play like a crazy man all you want. I seriously jumped up and started yelling… I think he forgets what is going on and tries to confuse or impress… it makes me so mad… He also tries to blow in there towards the net when there is now way in God’s green earth that he will score when there are so many on the opposite there… pass it back to the point or look for the trailer… seriously… He has some serious speed and magic hands but I am done with his tunnel vision.
they’re doing well now–let’s celebrate that. LET’S GO BUFFALO !!!!!!
got to the hotel last night just in time to boot up GR55 to listen to the third period. by the time it was over Clevelanders were wondering about ‘that guy’ on the fourth floor…
Sweet!
I did see in the paper this morning that the Philly has NO POINTS!!! The shit airline coffee even tasted good.
I checked the paper again half way home – AND – Philly still had no points
