Week Thirteen Open Thread: Niners at Bills
Jerry Sullivan’s column today is, to be blunt, a complete fabrication. He writes:
Coming into this season, there was a lot of talk about the Bills having an elite defense this year.
He then uses that statement to rip the Bills defense. And while I agree that the defense has been poor, I would sure like to know who said the Bills would have an elite defense this year.
Seriously, I read all the previews just like all of you. Please find me one NFL writer, commentator or, well, anyone who said the Bills would have an elite defense this year.
Why would anyone think that one of the worst defenses in the league last year would suddenly become “elite” with the addition of Marcus Stroud? Most folks thought the defense would be improved, but nobody that I recall said they would be “elite.”
So that’s what journalism has become now – just make up some shit to fit the argument you want to make. If you want to write that the defense is lacking you can certainly do so without fabricating some back story.
Anyway, this is the week that Buffalo sucks you back in by winning against the Niners and putting themselves right back into the playoff race. Hey, I’ll go along with it as long as it means wins.

Going into this game, I didn’t think there was a tremendous difference between the talent levels of these two teams. I was wrong, the 49ers are better. This Bills team is an insult to people who appreciate smart football played by guys who can sack up.
What’s the record for most yards gained only scoring three points?
If Jauron did sign a three year extension as was reported some weeks back, this team is fucked royally. As a guy who watched Jauron limply manage the Bears for five years while living in Chicago, I hated his hire in Buffalo. His offensive and defensive gameplans look remarkably similar, his teams are lazy, underprepared and uninspired.
If we’re doomed to watch this mouthbreathing coward of a coach for the last couple of years of NFL football in Buffalo, people probably won’t mind when the team eventually leaves. Hey, maybe that was the plan all along…

Well, at least there’s no QB controversy.
That was the most piss-poor series of downs I have ever seen from the Bills.
We got Dick for less, and we are paying the price now. You’re right, he’s a coward of a coach and his team reflects it.

That was just fucking pathetic top to bottom. Ryan can’t kick worth a shit. JP is the worst fucking QB ever. Even worse than Rob Johnson. The redzone play calling sucked. These coaches don’t know what they are doing. If you can’t beat Cleveland and SF at home, you don’t deserve to finish the season. I knew it was a bad decision to give the contract extension in the middle of the season. The Bills have tanked ever since then. Tear the contract in half, fire his sorry ass, and start over with someone who won’t waste the talent we have.

Just pathetic. That sums things up in a nutshell. There was absolutely no excuse to lose to a team with just three wins.
This staff can’t coach a bunch of piss-poor excuses of football players! I am so embarrassed to wear any of my bills shit anymore this year! Go to hell Jauron, and take the rest of your staff with you!!!
