Week of Indifference Open Thread: Bills at Jets

Fortunately, the Pritchard’s social agenda today limits my ability to view the Bills game. It’s the time of year for holiday parties, and we have two. In the past, I would have made every effort to maximize my time with the Bills game. This year? Whatevs.

Marshawn Lynch can still make me really happy. That’s about it, though.

  2. Seth says:

Holy cow. A Buffalo touchdown. I can barely contain my excitement.

  3. jerthebear says:

Seth…judging from the activity in this open thread today, neither can anyone else…

  4. Seth says:

Oh good. Just found this. http://blogs.nfl.com/2008/12/14/jauron-bills-bound-through-2011/

I think I might be done with football.

  5. TheTick says:

I was perfectly OK with letting my son watch Ratatouille. No way that happened when they were 4-0.

  6. bk says:

    cynical bitches.

  7. Seth says:

    Cynical? Hardly BK.

  8. Fabio Escobar says:

Let’s hope that fumble with two minutes to go is the merciful end to Losman’s career.

    R.I.P.

  9. taro tsujimoto says:

Hopefull JP will sign a free agent contact with Wilson Farms, pumping gas next season

  10. jerthebear says:

I’m so glad it’s been confirmed that Jauron signed an extension through 2011. We’ve got another 3 years of this shit to look forward to.

  11. Seth says:

If not the fumble then there’s the INT on the very next play. Eat a dick Losman. Eat a whole bag of dicks. Good luck in Detroit.

  12. JayBee says:

    2-5-BUF 27 (2:06) 7-J.Losman sacked at BUF 16 for -11 yards (27-A.Elam). FUMBLES (27-A.Elam), RECOVERED by NYJ-92-S.Ellis at BUF 11. 92-S.Ellis for 11 yards, TOUCHDOWN.

    1-10-BUF 26 (1:47) (Shotgun) 7-J.Losman pass short right intended for 84-R.Royal INTERCEPTED by 24-D.Revis at BUF 39. 24-D.Revis to BUF 33 for 6 yards (11-R.Parrish).

If I had any tears left, I’d cry.

  13. Andy says:

Is Losman the worst Buffalo QB that we’ve suffered with in recent memory? I mean, Rob Johnson was really bad, but he did almost win that playoff game in Tennessee.

Wow. What a kick in the pants.

  14. jerthebear says:

1:20 left and we throw nothing but 2 yard dump passes. WTF!!!!!!?!?!

  15. Doug says:

JP Sucks. Dick Jauron Sucks. I have been a Bills fan my whole life and I will no longer watch this team until they make a move that has some sort of intelligent reasoning. Who throws the ball on 2nd and 5, 2 minutes left, a lead and your crappy fumble happy back up in? Forget this team! I’m officially fed up with the dumba** decisons made by the Bills management.

  16. Ed J. says:

I hope Dick Jauron and this whole crappy team plays to a mostly empty stadium next year and they go 0-16!!!! This coaching staff and team suck ass!!!

  17. wally says:

I would guess that JP is not very good at this either . . .

  18. ElmaGolf says:

I thought I was adequately protected by the apathy I developed watching the last two snoozers and had comfort that there was nothing the Bills coaches could do that could possibly piss me off more than getting from 5-1 to 6-7…

Wow – I’ve got to say, that was quite a surprise. Are you f**king kidding me!!! If Jauron’s not fired by tomorrow morning (after accepting all the credit for that call), it will become official that Ralph Wilson simply doesn’t give a damn anymore.

What – are they worried that changing coaches for the last two weeks is going to disrupt their rhythm? Jauron made it clear last week that he has no clue or control over what the coordinators will be calling (except for when he wants to single handedly lose a game like today).

And as if the game changing fumble and subsequent interception weren’t enough to make you want to gouge your eyes out – the Bills spent 4 plays and 39 seconds to make sure they picked up a first down on the final drive. 50 seconds left, 60 yards to go, and they call spike, dump off, incomplete dump off incomplete, 5 yard pass.

Congratulations Bills – you aroused levels of disgust and hatred in me that I could only speculate about until today. If the Bills ever hold a presser to announce this clown’s extension, there should be a protest rally like this city’s never seen before.

How I long for the “he’s more of a punt catcher than returner” days of Wade Phillips.

  19. Ron says:

It was like watching thee last two games and ending the same way. I could make better calls from my living room. With less than 2 minutes to play they run a pass play come on even Brett Favre couldn’t believe the call.
All you hear is next year that was last year too. There has to be complete change in coaching and a more agressive one to replace Juaron.
