Busy Today, More Tomorrow

Sorry folks, but I am knee-deep in a project right now that I should have finished yesterday, but I took time out to play outside with the boys. Regrets? None.

And then Jack Bauer and that rat-bastard Tony Almeida robbed me of two hours last night. Such is life. But Tony, how could you?

Having a DVR for “24″ is a real treat. We didn’t have one back in early 2006, which was the last year I seriously watched the show (they lost me in ‘07, but I’m back now.) If the next episodes come anywhere close to last night all the “24″ fans will be rewarded for their patience. It’s just nice not having to sprint to take a leak during the commercials.

Also, it’s the first year of “24″ in HD for me. They have always had plenty of eye-candy, and this year is no different with Agent Renee Walker leading the way. Too bad it wasn’t around back when Kim was on in Season One, or when she was being hunted by cougars or hanging out in some dude’s bomb shelter.

More tomorrow, and likely about hockey!

  1. I’ll save you 22 hours –
    Tony’s doing something illegal, but it’s not bad — kinda badish;

    Agent Walker is sleeping with her boss, but will find time to fall in love with Jack over the next 22 hours.

    Jack will fall in love with Agent Walker;

    Agent Walker will die.

    Jack will righteously tell off the G-Man and walk off into a smoldering sunset, possibly with Tony – unless Tony was shot just as he was going to reveal everything.

    Even though I know what will happen, that won’t stop me from spending 22 hours spread over the next 12-15 weeks hanging on every episode…

    Don’t forget about Jack faking his own death.

    I’ve still never seen more than 5 minutes of that show and plan on keeping it that way.

  4. Adam says:

    Jack Bauer will be looking for you, twoeightnine…you can run, but you can’t hide.

    I’m pretty sure I can outrun this guy.

    I’m with you, 289.

    Just never got into it. Never got into 24, Heroes, Lost, or anything really that’s come out in the last half dozen years or so.

    Except the Office. That’s about it.

  7. Matt S. says:

    Damnit, my comment got submitted when I hit enter by accident.

    Anyways to continue, even with the Office, I didn’t watch a single episode until Season 3 was almost over, then I got 1 and 2 as a gift, by that point 3 was out on DVD, got that and watched season 4 online.

    So basically, I can get into a show, I just wait until it’s several years in and I feel like getting around to it and don’t have to worry about weekly soap operas and I can watch the next episode immediately.

    I’m rambling. Sorry.

    Screw Jack, it’s hockey season.

    “Ruff Skates The Team Hard” via WGR.

    It’s going to be great to watch Kane, etc.

    Go Sabres.

  9. Toontom says:

    You know why they haven’t found Jimmy Hoffa? Because Jack Bauer’s not looking for him.

    You know what I never noticed in that pic until today? He has his tighty whities down too.

    And care to explain this Kevin?

    Silly Goose,
    I’ve gone dark. I cannot believe you would turn on me. :(

    Tony A.

  13. Kevin says:

    @11 – Clearly, I have a lot of things going on in my life. I’m just one big mystery.
