Watched the Jays game last night… the powder blue unis, the packed house, the awesome atmosphere, even a “streaker” running out on the field before the final out was recorded. And if that wasn’t enough, Mike Harrington’s great game report just whet my whistle even more.
“Looking for something to do Sunday? Make the drive north of the border. It’s Roy Halladay vs. Josh Beckett in a 1 p.m. game.”
Sounds like a plan, MH! I called Pete this afternoon and we are a go for Toronto v Boston at the Rogers Centre, and a pregame “Shopsy’s Run”, those awesome and huge sausages served on a fresh egg roll with all the toppings available. You can find the carts all around the stadium.
But there’s more… The OHL playoffs are in full swing and the Oshawa Generals play the Niagara Ice Dogs at 6 PM. The gleaming new General Motors Centre has been on the “to do” list since it opened. Gotta fire off a credentials request fast!
So we are off to Canada for one jam packed sports day… that’s how we do things sometimes.

There is nothing like an outside-the-Skydome hot dog… and enjoy the GM Centre! It’s the best of the new OHL buildings and you should see a pretty good atmosphere. I’ve done the day-night doubleheader between the Jays and Gennies and it’s a pretty easy one.
