State Party Weighs in on Fraudulent Phone Calls

Charlie King, the State Democratic Party Executive Director, today issued the following statement regarding reports of impostor phone calls in Erie County:

“The State Democratic Party is asking Erie County District Attorney Frank Sedita III to investigate reports of widespread and fraudulent phone calls that specifically target Democratic voters in Erie County.”

“Republicans clearly recognize they cannot win their upcoming elections on their own merits and are resorting to their usual playbook of unethical and reckless tactics. This is voter suppression at its most deceitful. Those responsible for these calls should be forced to answer to the proper authorities. No issue should be taken more seriously than the attempt to tamper with the democratic process so that people can cast their vote fairly.”

the calls are not just " targeting" democrats…I am registered as a republican and I received a phone call regarding "Our next Erie County Executive Mark Polancarz", I simply stated that I was not voting for him and hung up.

Mark can you get the state to weight in on public sector employees doing campaign work for the local democratic party?

Public sector employees should not be doing campaign work while on our dime.

The Town of Cheektowaga has some rules about using town employees/equipment for personal/campaign work. Because the current town board is democrat they seem to be ignoring their own rules they set in place.

Ask the “watchdog” Mark Poloncarx why does he think it’s ok?

    Wouldn’t these people know better?

Here is your watch dog for you:

Chris Collins, nice try. We know Roger Stone is behind this as he's the "behind the republican scenes" go to guy. Especially since it's hitting other counties. I wondered why you had such a slick fast answer that the calls were coming out of town. Sleezy Chris and Stephan!
