I only called it that ’cause I remember either Mike @ Coles or Bobby @ Goodbar telling me that all the Panos servers were into it- it’s pretty expensive, but also much stronger than most beers, and they figured (correctly) that you actually got more for less. Alcohol, that is…

It is, however, a damn fine beer. $24/growler good? That’s more of a judgement call. I know I’d throw down for L’Achouffe in that range, so yeah: that’s probably about right.

Aside: I wonder if they’ll institute a frequent buyer/punchcard deal. I hear Pizza Plant is about to raise the prices on theirs. And Pearl St. just started some kind of a mug club/discount card program, too.

Looks like a thoughtful and most excellent sampling of beery goodness. I’ll stop down tomorrow and pick up a growler of Delirium. Although not a member of the waitstaff set, I love me some of that Belgian Strong Pale Ale.
