The Rink at The Ralph
The Ultimate Sports Road Trip will be providing much of the Winter Classic coverage for WNYMedia in the upcoming days.
Find their first look at the rink here.
Notice the smaller rink in the foreground in picture No. 4? That’s for the little guys to skate on between periods.
There is allegedly a site dedicated to Winter Classic coverage coming tomorrow (Thursday) from WNYM.
Also, we’re trying to set up a BfloBlog / WNYM tailgate party somewhere at the stadium. I’m thinking the stadium lots on Southwestern may be ideal, but if anyone has any other ideas, feel free to chime in. I’d like to get this settled by Sunday.
So, who’s going, and who is interested in a tailgate?

I am a born and raised Buffalo fan since my birth in Niagara Falls in 1977. For reference, my first communion gift from my parents was a replica Sabres Home White Mike Ramsey jersey. I still have that jersey. After stints at Georgetown and the U.S. Army, I have settled in DC where my Sabres, Bills and Hoyas passion runs unabated (I have season tickets to all 3). USRT will be glad to join ya for tailgating… Pete’s dad is coming in from Horseheads and our road trip buds Gary and The King are driving up from New York City for the game as well. Keep us apprised!
Like my tickets weren’t far enough from the rink, then they stick a little rink in front of it? I guess the little kids won’t have a s far to walk that way.
The camera view is about where my tickets are, too.
Never having driven to a game there myself, I’ll just be happy to be parked somewhere that I can find again, much less where you will be. But if we see you, we’ll stop by for a minute or two.
