Hi folks, it’s the reigning BfloBlog fantasy football champion checking in here.
Just letting you know that we’ll be doing it once again on Yahoo!, and we have a live draft scheduled for Sunday, September 2nd at 9 pm. I wonder if BuffaloGeek will be back for a repeat whoopin’ in the championship game, when Don’t Be So Crabbe destroyed Van Miller’s Dentures in a thrilling week 16 matchup.

If there’s an open spot I’d love to join. My league, which I destroyed, seems to have fallen victim to the marital problems of our commish.
Wide open, man. Hop on in.
Room for another Kevin, is there a reason I can’t email you anymore?
thanks
Ouch. Bad day for me, it’s moving day.
I’d love to join but I wouldn’t want to cause my OWN marital problems….you guys have fun and don’t hurt yourselves out there.
After winning my friends league, I’m ready to take on some better competition.
The BfloBlog e-mail seems to be kaput.
kevin at wnymedia dot net will work
Matt – you can always do autopick and set your draft order beforehand. No need to be present and “live”
It’s telling me you need the league ID and not the name to join? Help?
Sorry.

I’ll change it in the post as well.
Okay, I’m in. I’ll try my best to make the draft, but I’ll set my list too just incase.
And no, my #1 pick is not McGayhee.
Bring it on bitches! I’ve got five bucks that says my d-bags are better than your d-bags. (That goes double for you Kilgore!)
Peter Forsberg got stopped at the border and the border patrol officer asked him where he was heading, Forsberg told him he was off to sign a contract with the sabres.
Where did you hear that?
Any one else expect a punchline after that comment?
This is off-topic, but i read a different blog that someone here may have a Turner Gill Bobblehead. I am in the market for a TG bobblehead, let me know if there are any out there.
Peter Forsberg has been one of my favorite players for years, but he is NOT a good fit for Buffalo’s roster (or wallet).
I expected a punchline.
First of all, I doubt Forsberg is coming to Buffalo. While we have some room, signing him would put us around $1 million near the cap. However, Forsberg is still a point-per-game player and a legitimate #1 center. Although I think Connolly and Roy is a good 1-2 punch, Forsberg would certainly provide some insurance. Imagine these lines:
Forsberg Hecht Pommer
Roy Vanek Max
Connolly Kotalik Stafford
Gaustad Paille Mair
That’s a very formidable roster and one that virtually guarantees a top 4-5 finish in the conference and a shot at the cup (assuming Forsberg could play around 60 games).
Bring me a strong and big D man with an accurate shot who can skate backwards and communicate with Miller and I’ll be happy. The hole in our roster is still on the blueline, even after the gloom and doom of July sent our Captains a-sailing.
I wasn’t kidding, Sabres are on a short list of teams pursuing him.
I heard the Forsberg at the border story also. Here’s the link to the rumor of the Sabres being on a short list of teams interested in his services:

Already speculating what the lines would look like if the Sabres signed Forsber is the definition of the term “Rosterbation”
That rumor has been bouncing around since a writer in the Denver Post said it last week. The only thing that makes me believe it a little bit is that Diklund isn’t reporting it. Is the Denver Post what you are basing this on, or do you know something else, because with 7 teams on it, the “short list” isn’t that short. Or believable.
Rosterbation? Um, yeah. Like I said, I doubt the rumors are true given the cap situation. That is, unless they are able to move a body. No harm in thinking how Forsberg would fit in. Fact is, it may not be a bad idea to bring in a vetran on a one or two year contract, especially given the Sabres vast wealth of young talent that is going to need playing time very soon.
The War Pigs cometh!
Looks like I took the last spot in the league. Glad there was still room to join. I’m looking forward to a competitive league where people actually participate instead of these public leagues with dead-teams. Kevin, do you also do a hockey league?
