Predators at Sabres Tonight

A Monday night Sabres game at home? This is really going to screw up my internal clock…

Want to learn more about the Nashville Predators? Don’t look at me, especially when you can read The Forechecker. His review of the Preds at the quarter pole is broken down by skaters and goalies.

Harrington writes today about the Sabres unbalanced scoring. Nashville is in a similar situation with Shea Weber having ten goals (yes, I had to double-check that number) Jason Arnott 12, and Martin Erat seven. After that, it’s JP Dumont and David Legwand with four each. So, shut down a couple guys and the odds are in your favor.

As for our boys, I feel a lot better about them after the last five games, in which they at least looked like they cared about winning hockey games. Please, no more disasters like the Columbus and Boston games from two weeks ago.

No Connolly tonight, and it doesn’t look good for Kotalik either. I guess with the injuries the greatest debate is if Peters will dress and who sits if he does play.

No Kaleta tonight, Ales is in for him. I guess when the refs take your game away from you you’re bound to get hurt. Peters in for Max. (Not sure I like that.)

Darn it, I’m going to the game tonight — Kaleta is one of my favorites. Is Kaleta hurt, or is he getting the night off to rest up– he was Montreal’s punching bag out there the last game. I wish the refs would stop using him as an excuse to call a penalty — (he finishes his checks legally) And where are the calls when the other team uses him as a punching bag? I’d rather see Max play than Peters tonight.

  3. twoeightnine says:

He has an upper body injury.

  4. Kevin2 says:

Max deserving to sit is not getting bought by me.

How about Mair. That bone-headed elbowing was dumber than anything Max has done all year.

Hopefully Kaleta is well enough to work on some simple skate to stick drills.

And where is TC. I read somewhere 2 weeks. It has been 2+.

  5. Matt S. says:

When discussing Connolly, multiply the number of weeks by 4.

    2 weeks = 2 months.

Um how come I have never heard this rumor from the Buffalo News or idea?

That the trouble with trading Max is that he’s headed to the KHL next year. How much are the Sabres wanting for him?

  7. twoeightnine says:

Because that whole post is based off of a one sentence throwaway statement from a Toronto Sun reporter.

  8. Ben says:

Lets not shutdown Weber and Arnott… they’re on my Fantasy team.

Ohhh, rooting for the fantasy team over the Sabes? Hell yes.

  9. Ben says:

TC has no business on this or any other professional team.

  10. trevor says:

It doesn’t matter how much the sabres want for max. No team is going to assume his $3.3 mil salary when he helps to lose more games than he wins. If you’re looking for Darcy’s biggest mistake the past three years, it’s not dumping this waste of space when he racked up 60 points.

  11. Jonathan says:

Wouldn’t they only pay the amount what is left this year?
Obviously still too much, but come Trade Deadline, someone might take the bait.

  12. keller says:

How about Max to the Blues for Keith ‘Walt’ Tkachuk? The Blues can sell some jerseys before Max ships off to the KHL and piss off thie fan base even more (see Stempniak trade the day after selling dozens of the new 3rd jersey).

  13. twoeightnine says:

Rivet is out now with an upper body injury.

  14. trevor says:

shit, keller, connolly would crack another rib just flinching when tkachuk walked into the dressing room.
