  12. Kevin says:

Keller – How about Steve Shields?

  13. jerthebear says:

According to VS Buffalo and Nashville have “alot of bad blood between them?”

  14. Kevin J. says:

Masks are good … and thank goodness for cups, Val adds.

  15. Keller says:

looks like just Myre and Biron…Shields a good guess.

    0-0 3:30 left—late penalty agaisnt FLA.

  16. jerthebear says:

Apparently Buffalo hasn’t earned anything tonight….it’s all due to Flyer errors…

  17. Ryan says:

Also, 3 all in the Rangers/Isles game. 5 to play…

  18. Keller says:

    Mark it zero Dude…

  19. Kevin J. says:

Gotta come up big tomorrow. Caps are gonna come out flying…

  31. Jonathan says:

I love talking on the phone and silently celebrating a goal.

  32. HockeyBob says:

Ryan, you got that, especially probably without Hecht, Tallinder and Connelly.

BTW, Islanders beat Rangers in shootout.

  33. Kevin J. says:

Is that a silver vinyl jacket she is wearing? Chris apparently still shops at WalMart.

  34. trevor says:

  36. trevor says:

sjb- an official gop loss in november.

  37. trevor says:

yes, by the time pominville’s in this third year of a 6-yr deal, his voice might begin to sound like a man’s.

  38. Jonathan says:

And for Kevin Sekera’s official ice time 24:47

  39. adam d says:

i can’t tell you how good it feels to have Max back!

  40. Ben says:

    +1 for trevor’s exciting gonorrhea

  41. Wolf says:

@155 – That’s it – I’m not watching another game this year. When I don’t watch they score like fucking maniacs. Imagine my shock when I turned on the game with 8 mins left in the 3rd and saw a score of 5-2. So, as my contribution to the playoff run, I am done watching.

  42. Kevin J. says:

Wolf – How about you make a smaller sacrifice immediately and just stop watching VS. broadcasts?

  43. twoeightnine says:

Did the Flyers fans actually boo Tallinder? The sound was off at the bar for the first period and a half.

They did turn it on in enough time for me to realize what is wrong with Vs. coverage besides horrible camera angles. They’re trying to treat each game like they are ESPN covering Monday Night Football. It’s not the about the game on the ice, it’s about the NHL (and the Flyers if they’re playing.)

With football that’s not quite as bad because they only play for 7 seconds at a time. Don’t get me wrong, I hate the interviews and upcoming season long Favre fellatio as much as anyone but local broadcasts don’t bother with that shit. They call the game on the ice for the most part. Vs. is trying to become Hockey Night Football in America when the majority of people tuning in are tuning in because their team is playing.

  44. Zach says:

I will say I feel really bad for Hurricanes fans if that is who they have to put with all season. My god Forsland was the world’s most monotonic announcer I have ever seen. It made me actually want Joe Beninati who makes me want to gauge my ear drums out with a spoon.

  45. RareUpstateBananaSlug says:

I hope those classless Philly assholes don’t get to see their team chalk up another W – I haven’t seen a crowd react to an injury that way since the Jets fans cheered Pennington’s injury. No wonder the Flyers apparently suck at home, who wants to please the fans in filthydelphia?

VS Is possibly the worst broadcast I’ve seen – tell me something NHL – how does talking about anything BUT the game help bring in new fans? Hockey doesn’t always translate well to television, but congratulations VS – you’ve made it worse!
Their production team must really dig the “dynamic” angles playing NHL 08 or something.

At least when we play the Rangers on VS maybe we’ll get some bias our way just to take away from the rangers?

  46. Philly Mark says:

I was at the game. The boos were pretty loud after Tallinder got up, but there were also some people clapping. Pretty representative of Philly sports fans – the bad outnumber the good.

I thought Sekera looked really solid – kudos to Ruff for letting him play the PK. He even lead all D-man in ice time. And Pratt was such a good pickup.

Teams getting a point for an OT/shootout loss is getting really annoying. A W should just be a W (and a loss, a loss), no matter how it happens. effing Boston and the Rangers…

  47. Matt S. says:

“I will say I feel really bad for Hurricanes fans”

Come on. You’re better than that.

  48. Jonathan says:

So with the missed call on Tallider, would you say the missed call on Roy, was “Poetic Justice”?

  49. RareUpstateBananaSlug says:

Don’t feel bad for ‘Canes fans – their team might just get the playoff spot that Buffalo would have earned.
