Marshawn Better Start Talking

At this point, it all comes down to which one of Marshawn’s boys are going to step up and take the hit on this thing. The way I see it, there are only three scenarios.

- Marshawn wasn’t driving, whoever was steps up and takes the heat. Odds: 327,000-1

- Marshawn was driving, there is no video evidence that he was, and one of his boys takes the fall. Odds: 1-3

- Marshawn was driving, it’s caught on tape by the new BPD cameras, and Marshawn has to take the fall. Odds: 15-1

Note: No actual bets accepted, especially on scenario No. 1.

Marshawn gets nailed by the NFL Conduct Policy regardless: 2-1.

  2. Wolf says:

Odds that greater than 50% of active NFL players have criminal records by 2010: 1-2

Odds that anyone stops watching because of it: 4 Billion-1… they have that now… it’s called the NBA.

Is this disappointing news? Yes. Is it surprising? Not by a long shot. Give a 22 year old millions of dollars and no supervision and he’s gonna get in trouble. Period. Whether it turns out to be him or one of his boys doesn’t matter.

The weird thing is not one soul has come out yet and said that they saw Marshawn hanging out on Chippewa that night. This is Buffalo, not NYC. If a Bill is out, everyone knows it. You’re telling me that no one, not even someone who didn’t see him but wants his name on the news, has called up Sully or WGRZ and said “yo i sees marshawn at night, totally lit out of his mind with these two fly honeezs.”

my standard bet (because I hate it when I loose more than) – a cup of coffee.

if #1 is true boy will I pee in bed…

BPD cameras don’t catch anything, you need Canisius College cameras to actualy show what happened. Even then, all you have to do is run back to your father’s house and he’ll cover for you. Right, Byron?

  6. Chris says:

Poignant and funny. A friend suggested that this was bad for the Bills and the city, but I don’t that’s the case: This is an excellent “warning” to Mr. Lynch that he get his sh*t together.

I love the line ‘I though the police told us all to drive away from accidents ever since the Honduran gangs moved to town’.

  8. Gilbert P says:

Today’s Buffalo News cites sources saying Marshawn was spotted on the Chip and that his car was recovered in the driveway of his Hamburg home shortly after the accident. It is not looking good. He’s probably scared shitless.

  9. twoeightnine says:

Yeah I saw that. Not good. Not good at all.

    From Mike DeGeorge:

uhhhh, this uhhhhh, uhhh, is the uhhhhh, police uhhhh, director of uhhhh, communications, uhhhh, uhhh, no comment, on, uhhhhhh, the, uhhhh investigation, uhhhh.

  11. Jonathan says:

Wonder why Mike DeGeorge doesn’t work at Channel 2 anymore. Well besides being fired

  12. Kevin says:

“Sources” also said police banged on his door for 1-1/2 hrs. and got no response before they towed the car away

Can we start running the over/under on the community service hours/sentence of the charges, or is it too soon? I bet we could get the Casino Niagara sports book to set some odds.
