Pataki

Maybe George is getting the message that he’s toast. Maybe he realizes that NYS is not really much better off after 3 Pataki terms. When New York needed strong leadership and a voice that would cut through the bullshit and institute real change and reform, we had Governor Milquetoast, who talked a lot but appeased greedy unions, mouthy lobbyists, and whomever else Pataki thought would help him politically.

In other words, Albany biz as usual: help out the superpowerful special interest lobbies at the very, very high expense of the remainder of the State of New York.

Pataki ought not let the door hit him in his ass on the way out.

I’m still hoping against hope for a Weld vs. Spitzer 2006 race. That would bring tears to my eyes, because either way: we’d win. So long as Weld doesn’t import the feckless Celucci as his Lt. Gov candidate, that is. Don’t get me started.
