The Erie County Charter Revision Commission will meet on Thursday, February 16, 2006, to receive a joint report from two of its committees regarding the form and scope of government in Erie County.
Chairman George K. Arthur is urging the public to attend this important meeting of the Commission.
“The decision the full Commission makes with regard to this report and its recommendations and/or other possible forms of government will set the tone for the remainder of the work of the Commission,†Arthur said.
He emphasized the need for interested individuals, organizations and others to attend this important meeting so they might hear the discussion. Chairman Arthur noted that after the report is received, it is his intention to allow for written public input from Erie County residents before the Commission makes a final decision on its recommendation on this important subject.
The Commission will begin its deliberations at 8 a.m. in the Legislature’s Chambers located on the Fourth Floor of Old County Hall at 92 Franklin Street.
