1. Summer’s over. Mary reminisces about her summer, and laments the late-season partial repair of Delaware Park tennis courts. UPDATE: Pauldub reminds me in comments that I neglected to mention that among Mary’s reminiscences is drinking a box of wine in the park. Mmmm. Franzia.

2. The Yellow Tail wine billboard is racy (who the hell buys wine advertised on a billboard?), Mary’s friend thinks scunghilli sounds like an Italian curse. Someone pulled the chair out for Mary at lunch one day. Chivalry isn’t scary.

3. Rochester’s mayor tried to be funny introducing Eliot Spitzer, and Mary said that was a “stupid” speech. Pano likes the free publicity that the whole Atwater house imbroglio brings.

4. It’s about the funeral for Niagara University theater professor Tim Ward, so it’s a mock-free zone.

5. September 11th marks the 20th anniversary of the Buffalo Brewpub. They’re having a sale there.
