From the Buffalo News, and from his Buffalo Buffet blog.
I have to agree about Smokin’ Tom’s and Suzy Q’s. One Eyed Jack’s does have good brisket, and I haven’t had the spare ribs at Kentucky Greg’s. I haven’t yet tried the others, but will.

We love Kentucky Gregs and use them for our party as caterer every year (including this coming week)
Never been to Greg’s, but I’ve mentioned Donnies several times on my blog, and Jack’s really is great.
Suzy Q’s has this fantastic BBQ “garbage plate”. I gorget what they call it, but it’s salt potatoes, baked beans, cole slaw, pulled pork and something else all layered. Woohoo. I wasn’t impressed with Tom’s down in Springville, but it’s been a few years since I went so maybe they got their act together.
Suzy Q’s is fantastic. The plate is called a piggy pie but if you get the salt potatoes its a salty hog. The pulled pork and ham are heavenly, especially on the rolls they use. Great service and atmosphere.
Suzy Q’s offers great value, but Buffalo Brew and BBQ offers better quality ribs. I rarely have 23+ dollars to spend on a rack of ribs, so you’ll usually find me at Suzy Q’s.
What is everyone’s opinion of Tony Roma’s near Best Buy in Amherst? Can anyone give me an honest review of the ribs without complaining that it is a chain or in the suburbs? I’ve never been there, but might try it if I hear some decent reviews.
I thought Roma’s closed down at that spot.
