Alan, you are a good man who ran an honest campaign. There is much to be proud of after this experience. Sure, things could have gone better, more money could have been raised, more hands could have been shaken, but it doesn't matter. You made an effort, the best that you could. You put your reputation on the line and subjected yourself to constant badgering on your blog. :-) In the end, you might have failed to win office, but you gained the respect of the community and built a platform from which to run in the future. When you do, I will be there to support you every step of the way. You are my friend and I am proud to know you. Congratulations on a well fought race.
