I think the Reps are po’d at Tommy boy because he spent over $5mil of Rep money to get himself reelected. If that money had been spread around to a few other Reps they might not have lost. Tommy boy is a real bum who believes in me first – all others tied for second.
$5 million could have prevented them from losing the House by 30 seats? Uh, OK.
Tommy represents one of the most Republican leaning districts in the North East. His district was intentionally carved up so that he would “never” have to worry about a serious competitive election per “Hot tub” Tom Delay and the national GOP in 2000.
Tom Reynolds should not of needed 5 million to hold onto a seat that is as red as a blood on a slaughter house floor. The Davis campaign drained resources and energy from Reynolds that would have otherwise been invested in other close House elections. Had the Democrats recruited a better candidate we all would be talking about *former* Congressman Tom Reynolds.
Reynolds influence was always overrated. Interesting to note that Higgins, per this survey, is not all that influential either. Should Hillary win the Dem nomination, they should consider Louise Slaughter as her number one replacement.
Then he’ll decide NOT to run again and walk away with a few million dollars in his “campaign war chest” and land some cushy Washington lobbyist job, keeping ALL of the money.
So he WINS even though he’s a BIG loser!

You made me laugh out loud with that line….and then looking at the photo….that’s a pretty interesting political collective from left to right….and one politico turned redcoat for good measure.
My how the mighty do fall……
I don’t think he was well liked when he was in power, even by colleagues. Too much bluster. And everyone…Dems And Rep’s alike… were shocked and outraged to see him attempt to hide a sex scandal behind a room full of doe-eyed children. It was the most cowardly political act in memory. That kind of thing is not forgotten, no matter what kind of district you’re in.
But the Buffalo News said he was “Mr. Clout.” I don’t understand; they said that unless we re-elected him, the Niagara Air Reserve Base would fly away and all of our schools and hospitals would be closed. He’s Mr. Clout, Mr. Clout, Mr. Clout. The News said it; it must be true.
