Lenihan needs to be ousted. Kathy Konst was the one person in the legislator who could not be bought by Lenihan…and as a result, he did everything he could to stop her from running for Congress. It’s true, I heard several stories from Konst supporters that they were being threatened by him if they circulated petitions.

He knows Konst has the financial ability and support- so he attacked where he could. I mean really, do we think that this 29 year old Iraqi “vet” is a better candidate than Konst- a 30 year community leader, and the only person who has experience in office?

It’s typical Buffalo politics. It’s not confined to one party and the Democrats used to be masters of it. They didn’t have to threaten people with statements like that. It was well-known. In political circles, Buffalo was long known as “Little Beirut” because of tactics like that. It’s the way political business is done around here.

Apparently you’ve never heard of one Leonard R. Lenihan. If Konst is having trouble getting signatures, his intimidation tactics are the reason. Motherfucker had his cronies threaten to take a cop’s job away because his wife was circulating petitions.

Not all Republicans threaten the livelihoods of those we disagree with, not all Democrats are steamrollers, and not all union members are thugs-but surely you have a few examples of all three readily at hand?
