John McCain had a biopsy done of some skin cells from his cheek. McCain has a history of melanoma from sun exposure when he was a POW.
McCain urged people to stay out of the sun and to wear sunscreen, particularly during the summer.
“If you ever have any slight discoloration please go to your dermatologist or your doctor and get it checked out as soon as possible,” he said.
Asked if his doctor was confident the problem was nothing serious, McCain replied, “Sure, sure.”
McCain might want to have a word with the Dan the Tan Man for Congress campaign, which has festooned several “Tanning Bed” vans with “Humiston for Congress” banners. I wonder if Humiston echoes this “chaching goes the cancer council” sentiment?

McCain’s Cheek
Dan the Tan man epitimizes what a healthy human should look like. He has perfect posture, skin and weight. I think Dan the Tan man has it all going on. He knows first hand from his business experience to tan moderately and to never sunburn. Maybe John got his sunburns while in the military fighting for his country. Maybe you should blame where he got his sunburns instead of launching an attack on a professionaly run business. I could try to educate you on the benefits of tanning moderately but that’s not really what your cancer comment is about, it’s about your ignorance and lack of a post that actually has any real content in it.
Go out and get your vitamin d from the sun or where the Tan Man gets his and it’ll keep you healthy and increase your chances of surviving melanoma according to the most recent scientific studies.

In the last two years, the World Health Organization, the American Medical Association and the American Academy of Dermatology have labeled tanning beds as the health-peril equivalent of cigarettes. All have urged prohibiting their use by minors.
