There’s no need to malign Pat Buchanan in this post, he’s made much more sense than just about any other politician. Probably because he’s not running for anything and doesn’t have to shovel the BS that Powers and others use to pander to the populace.

Mike H–Smiles don’t know how things go in DC.

1.NY has one of the larger delegations in the House due to population, but it’s getting smaller thanks to the State and local governments causing migration of tens of thousands of residents every year to states that use a bit more sense in governing.
2. You’re correct in that a freshman rep from Spitzer’s Appalachia is going to be as important and lasting as a fart in a high breeze, regardless of party.
3.Her Excellency the Speaker tells these newbies exactly what Dolph Lundgren said to Rocky Balboa “I WILL BURY YOU”–if you don’t step and fetch as she directs.

Actually, regardless if Davis OR Powers wins, they’ll be pretty ineffective. No contacts, no seniority, nothing to put on the table. But it will make all the lefties feel better that Reynolds isn’t in there. Instead of a Republican they disliked heartily that had juice to get things done, they’ll have their beloved Democrat that will be the piece of dog shit under Pelosi’s shoe.
