And, on a deeper level, how much should we be concerned that we are playing a part in perpetuating dirty politics? After all, the common fare of blogs — which often have their own axes to grind and their own less-than-admirable motivations for publishing …

Remember a while back when someone signed a letter to the editor with the outrageous monikker “Volmit Scheiss” … I only studied Spanish but even I knew Scheiss was a no no. The the responsible and high minded gasbags at The News had to apologize. Anybody else feeling the wand of the deja vu fairy ? Maggie needs to look in the mirror and remember how she got her sweet gig, good old fashioned nepotism. High standards my arse.

The Hoyt scandal was a MSM problem too. Exactly one blog posted the information before it appeared in other news sources. It was the NY Post that even went so low as to list the former employee’s name. It wasn’t until it appeared within the MSM that the blogs commented on it.
