Alice Kryzan
Kryzan is funny.
First, she put up a negative TV ad that used humor to mask the fact that it was, in fact, a negative TV ad.
Her latest ad recounts Powers’ charges against Davis and Davis’ charges against Powers – namely, War Kids.
During Hardwick’s debate, Kryzan was asked whether she was going to further attack Powers on War Kids. She said no “mailers” would go out. I guess Professor Hardwick forgot to ask her if any TV ads would come out, because it sure did. Her answer, although accurate, was disingenuous to the nth degree.
Note that Kryzan hasn’t put out so much as a single positive, introductory piece. And she hasn’t posted her new ad to YouTube.

Powers laid off her completely during the hardwick debate and said it best “i’m not here to talk about alice, i’m here to talk about the issues”
Alice obviously can’t do that because she got smoked on the issues. I didn’t see the geneseo debate – but i just read a write up on albanyproject, and the one in the D & C shows Kryzan went negative.
So is Alice a flip flopper too now? She broke her own promise in like 5 minutes. She said these negative ads won’t get us anywhere… and then goes negative!!!! So thank you Alice for proving you won’t get us anywhere!

carlotta, you couldn’t be more on point. these same guys have used exactly the same language to characterize clinton, ferraro, palin & now kryzan, and the catrating fear is not limited to the denizens of this web site.

Let’s face reality: Kryzan is running for Congress because she believes she is entitled to it and so she can say afterwards that she did it. Glad to see Alice getting around the district the past week or so. Where was she the past 9 months? O wait.. she was trying to secure endorsements from the same groups that now support Powers…..and lost every single damn one. Why? Because she’s a woman? No. It’s because she’s not a good candidate.

Not for nothing, Mike Hudson, but you are one of the ones who lower the intellectual environment on this post. A good portion of your posts degenerate into name calling and insults. One might expect that from the “citizen journalist”, but as far as I can see, you claim to be a pro. I’m guessing you don’t see that kind of behavior on posts by Zremski, McCarthy, Hardwick, etc. I might not agree with everything that they all say, but at least they act like they are the professional journalists that they claim to be.

I heard this rumor a few weeks back, and hoped it wouldn’t be true for the people of Amherst. It shows she’s just trying to run for something and doesn’t even care what it is.
I don’t think Alice is a bad choice because of my support for Powers, I think she’s a bad choice because she’s a bad choice!!!
Alice has no real public works experience and feels she deserves to hold a political position because it’s something she wants to put on her resume before she dies.
I heard one of her responses to a reporter after asked why she said she wouldn’t take PAC money, or said she was above dirty politics and then attacked Powers, and her response was: “it’s just politics”.
She’s a lying lawyer. She’ll run Amherst into the ground because she doesn’t know what the h*ll she’s doing. I feel bad for the people who live there if she wins.
I think Weinstein is a better choice even though he’s Republican.
What’s next Alice?? I hear the Town of Lancaster was looking for a highway superintendant. Maybe they’ll hold elections at Williamsville South for the 2010 class president… you might be more suitable for that.
