wow
What a fucking idiot.
Seriously, what a FUCKING IDIOT.
200,000 people have left in 20 years? have you seen the 61st?!? It’s grown exponentially in the time frame you gave, moron! Even if you meant the county, or the 8 counties, we’re basically stagnant since the 1970s – not shrinking!
Way to dodge every substantiative question! Your budget cut savings are less than 1/10th of 1% of the state budget!
You either cut health care or raise taxes! you can’t not do one!
Anyways, have you Ever seen someone so full of themself? Christ!
Wow must have been a long night at Gabel’s for Joe the night before he shot that. I’m sure his favorite little candy helped perk him right up though.
wait, he’s for universal health care for new york state, increased spending on education, reforming medicaid, ending corporate welfare and you say he’s an idiot?
stephen, your saying that erie county has the same population today that it did in 1970 is insane.
mesi did misspeak, saying 200,000 people left erie county when really he meant to say 100,000 people. on the interview tape i have, he’s says 100,000. bfd.
Erie County has lost just over 0.2% of its population of its population annually.
NONE of those problems effect the 61st district.
Mike, you said “wait, he’s for universal health care for new york state, increased spending on education, reforming medicaid, ending corporate welfare and you say he’s an idiot?”
He’s an idiot because he says you can do all of those things and cut taxes. He’s an idiot because expanding state health care right before the feds do it will only serve to burden NYS with a higher share of the costs compared to other states once we get the universal program.
As to everything else, the other 2 candidates in the race have the same views, but are not in the pockets of City Hall and their hacks, and don’t say things like
“Keep in mind, my cam-my opposing candidates; ran for office; at one time was their first time running as well. I going for the State Senate because I can have a great trickle down effect on our counties and our towns, and I’m exactly what we need more of. In Albany.”
Can someone please tell me what the fuck that means?
And anyone who says things like “I tell people I’m exactly what we need more of in Albany” is a jackass, plain and simple.
Fucking. Idiot.
“Erie County Board of Elections Commissioner Dennis Ward – the husband of State Senate candidate Michele Iannello and brother of State Senate candidate Dan Ward — did not respond last week to good government advocates’ requests for his recusal from oversight of Tuesday’s elections.”
no problem there that i can see.
i just saw that too Mike. That’s a conflict of interest if i ever saw one.
And take it easy on the guy. Afterall he has a brain injury remember….?
according to the u.s. census, the population of erie county was 1,113,491 in 1970. by 2000, again according to the census, population stood at 950,265.
that is a drop of of 163,226 people steven. given the eight years since the last census — years that most definitely have not seen increasing population in western new york — perhaps the 200,000 figure joe used is the correct one.
how is it that you find this population “stagnant”?
where did the 0.2 population decline figure you are using come from? because it is batshit incorrect.
the census data is available from a number of sources, i got it from http://www.erie.gov/overview/
and according to numerous sources, buffalo city population today (2008) stands at 292,648, down more than 170,000 from the 462,768 who lived there in 1970.
somebody’s brains are scambled alright, and they’re not joe mesi’s.
none of which gets stephen nazwisko off the hook for making up a bunch of bullshit here.
where oh where has little stephen nazwisko gone?
is he among the circa 200,000 erie countians who have left the area since 1970? or the 170,000 buffalonians.
Still doesn’t explain the explosive growth of THE FUCKING 61ST, HIS DAMN DISTRICT
