The Nexus program set up its first US-based processing center in New York at the foot of the Whirlpool Bridge in Niagara Falls. The Whirlpool Bridge is the most palpable benefit to holding the pass, as only Nexus holders can use it, which means only about 300 people use it every day. While the rest of the world is queuing up at the Lewiston/Queenston Bridge for 2 hours at a time, you can sail across the Whirlpool Bridge with always minimal or no delay.
Previously, Nexus processing was only done in Fort Erie for the Southern Ontario / WNY market.
