In An Absolut World

In an Absolut world, Michelle Malkin’s call for a boycott of anything would be met by unprecedented surges of purchasing and consumption.

There are so many real, genuine outrages about which to be outraged. But Michelle Malkin and her ilk are not outraged, for instance, by this or this. Vodka ads? OMGWTF!

I bet Buffalo would be doing pretty awesome under that political configuration :D

What a shallow statement. That ad from Absolut spat in the face of honest American immigrants and those who worked to build the western half of the US into part of a great nation.

In an ‘Absolut world’, companies wouldn’t dare run such an ad because they would know in advance that a good portion of their clientèle would evaporate overnight.

Ulysses Grant, who fought in the Mexican War said (and I’m paraphrasing here, but I think I have the gist of it) that the Mexican War was the most unjust war ever fought by a strong nation against her weaker neighbor. It was a pure was of conquest. I guess there are plenty of Americans who have become so cynical now that they can justify this. But I think there are still a few of us who know right from wrong.
Yes, a lot of good people worked hard to build up what has become the great American West, but we should remember that originally, it was stolen.
