One More Issa Point

This has been stuck in my mind for the past couple of weeks:

In his letter, Issa also confirmed he is having difficulties obtaining a visa to travel to the United States.

“At the present time I am awaiting my travel documents to be returned by the [U. S.] Embassy,” Issa wrote.

Issa is a British citizen. The UK is part of the visa waiver program:

The Visa Waiver Program (VWP) enables nationals of certain countries to travel to the United States for tourism or business for stays of 90 days or less without obtaining a visa

Why does he need a visa, and why is he having difficulty?

He could be bullshitting, his name could be close to a suspected terrorist’s name, or he could have contributed to one of the many Islamic charities that support terrorists.

  2. Jon Splett says:

    I’m sure it’s somehow the union’s fault.

More importantly, who the hell cares?

Alan, from what he’s told me, Bashar lives in Cairo with his wife Sara. I don’t know if he’s actually a British citizen, but he did go to school there.

Well, I was shocked when I walked into the Statler the other day..it is a real craphole…..I felt like I was in Central Terminal (pre-Foundation efforts)….

Brought to you by Laborers Local #210.

Make sure you tell them “GOOD JOB!!!!!”

  7. Mike says:

jon was right, hank did twist this post into being the unions fault. Good job hank, now lets see if he can blame barney frank’s gayness on the union too.

  8. EMS says:

Hank is just pissed because they won’t let him into the Deep Fryers Union Local #5 until he completes one month cooking fries without an accident or eating most of the inventory.

  9. Pauldub says:

Actually brought to you by lack of planning. Hank thinks the liberty bell was cracked by shoddy union work.

  10. Timothy Domst says:

That’s what Hank gets for speaking truth to power. The powers that control Buffalo, Erie County, and NYS are the government unions.

  11. Timothy Domst says:

Before anyone notes this, I know that local 210 isn’t a government union, but most of the union lovers pile on Hank (and I guess me now) for the attacks on the government unions, which sets the tone for the rest.

  12. Mike says:

Tim, we don’t love the unions, we just all hate hank!!
