Vote for Whom?

This mailer was sent to committeeman Peter Reese, and was published on ArtVoice’s blog today:

Interesting tidbits:

  • It doesn’t say who paid for it, although judging by the content one could wager a guess;
  • There’s a reason why Golisano’s help wasn’t sought for committee endorsed candidates;
  • Except for bashing Lenihan and, inexplicably, Dennis Ward, there isn’t anyone named as a potential alternative candidate.

    • Another waste of a billionaire’s money by someone settling longstanding scores. In spite of this, Len Lenihan will overwhelmingly be re-elected committee chair this weekend.

      Steve Pigeon hates Dennis Ward because Ward kept tangling him up in lawsuits over illegal activity when he was Dem chair.

      Interesting tidbit, Joe Mesi had sorry i missed you post cards with the same bulk permit on them.

      Not wondering why dems are so often accused of the circular firing squad tactic. There’s a war on folks, it’d be nice if we could fight the other guys and leave each other alone until about Nov 5th at least. That’s crazy talk I know… Golisano is a philanthropist ? Did Illuzi tell HIS wife about it too ?

      Pretty crappy as far as proof reading goes also. The first phrase that ends with a period is not a sentence. It is just a fragment.

      Who ever conceived, approved and executed this POS is making way too much money, whatever the amount is it is.

      I hear “they” are looking for a “compromise” candidate. Frank Max doesn’t have the votes. Can’t imagine someone would when you can’t win your own committee seat – not a prerequisite to be chairman, but still.

      Some of the names I have heard make me chuckle.

      Here’s my question. If it looks like Len has the votes, why is Steve Pigeon insisting on making life for us Democrats hell? I thought you got more flies with honey.

      Can the Buffalo News steal this story? RNY endorsed more incumbents than challengers and plenty of Republicans. What, Len Lenihan was supposed to fold up shop and help Tom Golisano buy state government? I mean, if Tom went to Len and said, I want to support Democrats. Let’s put our heads together, I could see the point – maybe.

      Trust me, I find fault with many of Len’s decisions. He needs to stand behind his own like they stand behind him. He’s made some bad picks and ignored many good ones. But come on, Steve Pigeon is pathological.

      Because it’s not about winning or even reality with these people. It was not about winning for Kavanaugh either. Its about embarrassment, it’s about keeping the good guys busy so they do not gain ground……they did a poor job of that! Also they do not have a chance in hell of winning Saturday so they will; I am sure try to embarrass the Chairman. Also, since when is it a bad thing for a Dem county chair to oppose a billionaire Republican who is playing both sides?

      Konst= Bad candidate and she did not seek the endorsement of ECDC
      Mesi= ECDC did not make an endorsement in this contest so how were they against “Tom”
      Kavanaugh= need I argue why?

      Until someone sticks a stake through the heart of these people they will keep coming back like a bad case of the Herpes!
      Why?
      Because people like Bob McCarthy love the “stories” in politics, he is not much interested in success or accomplishment or even reality, look at his columns (yawn, Lenihan will win, yawn, but 6 people don’t like him so all of a sudden there will be a fight and a huge split in the party?????). Lenihan’s record speaks for it self!

      Let’s get the stakes sharpened Saturday, we can only hope! Bring garlic and some silver bullets too!

      I wish that Steve Pigeon would just go away ! Not likely, but would Tom Golisano please,please stop wasting your money on Pigeon’s personal vendetta’s and concentrate on building a Stanley Cup champion ?

      Okay, so does Pigeon show on Saturday in Cheektowaga? Do we start our own grassroots campaign? Show up with signs, garlic, stakes, water balloons?

      I mean, come on. If his sole purpose is to aggravate and embarrass, let’s give him some of his own medicine.

      Can you see the story in the news now?? Oh man. I would love to whack that case of herpes in a suit with an egg in the puss!

      So let me get this straight, Lenihan should be tossed out because he would not sell out the party to a billionaire from Monroe County who is dabbling in Erie County politics and his political advisor who makes Karl Rove look like Mother Theresa. I hope the Dem Committeemembers are smart enough not to fall for a slick, expensive and deceptive marketing campaign. I bet Pigeon will deny any connection to this slime ball crap.
