I generally neither care nor comment about football, especially if it doesn’t involve the Buffalo Bills. Last night’s Super Bowl, however, even got me excited. My only problem was that I wasn’t really rooting for any team.
The ads? None really stand out for me. The Star Trek movie looks good, as does whatever movie they’re selling with the 3D glasses. There was nothing there though that seemed to me to be somewhat iconic.
So, the game trumped the ads for me, and that could very well be a first. Here are a couple I liked:
Jason Statham + Cars = Win

A Close game, exciting all the way through to the end. Couldn’t ask for more.
I remember the Chicago Bears/Patriots game in the 80’s. By the 1/2 way point of the third quarter, everyone at the party was out in the garage playing darts. The game was in New Orleans, and so was the party. Odd because almost every person at the party was active Navy, and could have been ushers at the Superdome and seen the game in person for free.
The Niagara Gazette’s front page Sunday was about how Niagara Falls might be interested in building a dome for the next owner of the Bills,(jim Kelly) and moving them there.
Watched the half time show not bad for an old man.

I liked the Bud Light commercial that featured the guy being thrown out the window after he proposed eliminating the beer from meetings to save money for the company.
