Ran Webber is a friend of mine. When he first proposed this project over a year ago I was impressed, but unsure that it would “fly” locally. Demolition seemed the option (albeit a traditional option) favored by local politicians and developers. However, the reuse of sections of the existing Skyway, savings from not demolishing it, the green design, and the potential architectural significance of this project have won me over. This is a place I would visit, and use myself, unlike the enormous big box Bass Pro store and parking garages that have no appeal.
