Fail In a Nutshell

If you haven’t already seen Chris’ post about the Buffalo Niagara Partnership from earlier today, please do.

What do you do with a half-assed, unaccountable chamber of commerce that bleats endlessly about excessive taxes and government spending on the one hand, but demands $500 million in government handouts for its members’ pet projects?

The Partnership is as stupid as it is feckless.

    On this issue Carl Paladino is absolutely right. The Partnership is impotent. But as with all thongs Buffalo, it will remain the same until members realize that they are not getting value for their high membership fees and they bail out. Since their is no alternative, they will stay. Wasn’t Paladino going to start his own?

    Isn’t Rudnick an interesting character? I can think of about a half a dozen people who would do a better job, and yet there he is, year after year. He makes a ton of dough, but as far as I can tell does nothing. I can’t figure it out.

    This guy’s obvious purpose is to serve the needs of the handful of people who control the chamber of commerce. That’s exactly what he does and the community be damned. The Partnership has no legitimacy as anything but the mouthpiece of local well healed blood suckers.
