I don’t have speakers at work—But I didn’t need them. Probably the best video clip I’ve seen on this site. I’ve been there, coming home from several inhospitable foreign lands, and so has my wife, coming back from Desert Storm and 6 month cruises. This is the part of our governments foreign policy that the activists on either side don’t often see. Military families make a lot of sacrifices that the average civilian family can’t fathom, and military members miss a lot of “Firsts” when they are depoyed. This showed a lot of class.
I am curious why Alan chose this vid?
Why do you think I chose it?
hank you been there? kids run when they see you coming, they are afraid your going to eat them.
I was hoping that Alan chose it because he wanted to show there are many faces that make up a military conflict. The girl’s face in this video shows that the warrior entering into her class is her daddy, not some bloodthirsty killer. He’s just another American that does a job, one that I would think 90% of the people who comment on this blog don’t have the inclination, nor the balls or the guts to do. And “Mike” heads up that list. If his brains were balls, he would have a promising career guarding houses of prostitution.
he’d be too yellow to even do that, hank.
Here is the back story. It actually happened at the end of last school year. Great video.
Good story Bryon, thanks for the link.
That made me cry in 2 seconds flat, that was awesome.
unfortunately, there’s been no such happy ending for the 5,265 american dead in iraq and afghanistan, or the tens of thousands who must now face life crippled and maimed. both wars drag on with no end in sight, our soldiers are dying every day, though the media hasn’t given it too much attention in the past year or so.
hudson does know something about being yellow, Jaundice is the result of a gin soaked liver.
i didn’t know you drank, mike.
