Buffalostyle Rocks Out

According to reliable sources, guitars have been around since the 16th century, supposedly invented by a Spainard. Ole!

However, in inimitable Buffalostyle, we here in WNY have taken guitars and their music to a whole new level with the establishment of the WNED Buffalo Niagara North American Rock Guitar Competition.

This year’s 6 finalist competitors are already packing their bags and tuning their guitar strings for next week’s June 19 play date in which the winner of the American Rock Guitar Competition will be chosen. There’s no doubt though that this years 7th annual guitar fest will be rocking as already judges have been unable to clearly chose even the finalists, expanding the traditional list of five competitors to six.

In this week’s Buffalostyle I’ll be talking to Mindy Fox, Manager of the guitar competition, along with Queen V, the rock and roll enigma returning for a third stint as Guitar Fest host. Then I’ll finish up the program chatting with one of the actual contestants, Dan Peterson of Chicago. Obviously music for the show will come from these talented guitarists.
