Lipstick on a Pig? – Sarah Palin?

Is it a stretch? I think so. Bauerle said it right, Palin should say “I am not a Pig, I’m a Pitbull”. Play it up don’t go negative on this it will hurt you. Just my humble opinion anyway.

OBAMA: PUT LIPSTICK ON A PIG, IT’S STILL A PIG

Barack Obama stuck his foot in his mouth today when he said “you can put lipstick on a pig, but it’s still a pig” – which the angry McCain campaign immediately charged was an out-of-bounds attack on running mate Sarah Palin.

Obama delivered the line while campaigning in Lebanon, Va., tearing into his rivals for not representing real change.

“You know, you can put lipstick on a pig,” Obama said, “but it’s still a pig.”

He added, “You can wrap an old fish in a piece of paper called ‘change.’ It’s still gonna stink after eight years.”

Many in the Obama crowd leaped to their feet in delight -apparently taking the “pig” comment as a direct slam at Palin.

Obama has used this line before so they can construe anything they want from it. I personally think Obama should use an old Coach Dickerson line from his days on GR55 in describing Sarah Palin, namely : You can’t polish a turd.

Stretch. He was responding to a question about McCain’s economic plan, not a question about Sarah Plain. It’s a pretty well worn euphemism.

The hyper defensiveness over any perceived sleight against Sarah Palin is really growing tedious and is pretty damn disingenuous from the party who has made personal attacks, derision, and negative politics a standard in the national political process. Cue the standard response of the “mainstream media” smearing this poor little woman…

I await with bated breath the next time Sean Hannity, he of the most watched cable news show, nationally syndicated radio show, and op-ed columnist in over 200 newspapers talks about the “mainstream media” rushing to judgment or casting aspersions about the McCain-Palin ticket. It’s a tip Sean, you ARE the mainstream media you useless dolt. You have more viewers/listeners/readers than Brian Williams or Katie Couric.
