Mondello says he's staying on as Republican chairman

I have about had my fill of excuses coming out of the mouths of our illustrious Republican Party hacks. Here are the newest excuses. Have they thought of looking in the mirror? Just curious, instead lets just blame others for our collapse.

Mondello blames the losses on the “Obama tsunami,” the economic meltdown and the unpopularity of George W. Bush and the Iraq war.

WRONG! Why have Republicans continued to lose seats here in New York? It is simply because they have refused to govern from the Right and have thrown away all of the Conservative principals. Where have they all been over the past two decades? We elected Pataxme, a Republican. He governed like a Liberal or in other words a RINO. Who headed up the Senate for the past lifetime? Joe Bruno….. another RINO. He sold us out for his union buddies and his own self promotion, self aggrandizement, corruption and thrived on Pork and taxpayers money for the states use and play money, same as Pataxme. Who is Skelos? I have no real idea all I know is he is from downstate just like all the rest of our supposed leaders in Albany. Downstate where corruption is a way of life and then it permeates Albany where we are all effected by it.

Mondello said that Republicans have to get back to their “core principles” of less government, less spending and lower taxes.

So in other words Mr Mondello, we have to back track, we have to put it in reverse and try to put a new face on the same old politicos that have turned their back on the people of New York State, not just Republicans. A little late, ya think? We will be lucky to see another Republican elected again after the Democrats have their way with the redistricting we know they are drooling over.

The only thing we as Republicans can do at this point in this state and Nation wide is to take out the leadership of the “Party” and take out the RINO incumbents in the very next Primary. This has to be a joint effort with as many states as possible starting now. We have already started here in Erie County and have the website up and running, we need to get this into other states in the country and I started the first web page here .

The problem is that the self anointed leaders who refuse to look in the mirror, they are so out of touch with reality that we have no choice but to step up and take the party back. We have a bunch of Grey haired old farts that think they know what we the people think…

Had the Republicans governed like Republicans with Conservative principals they would still control the state senate and most likely still be on control in Washington DC. They have caved, caved to the special interests, caved to the Democrats who in turn simply continue to go on the attack. There seems to be no way to make the Democrats in Congress happy except to bow down and let them have their way. See Bi-Partisanship is always us agreeing with the Democrats. Never them agreeing with us, that’s called Partisanship.

It’s time to stand up for the People again, adopt and run on the Conservative platforms that got you elected. Had you done that from the get go you would still be in office. Now it’s time for you to go, you have done enough damage, let the younger more Conservatives take over, we still have our Principals and core values you have thrown away with your dignity.

Mondello says he’s staying on as Republican chairman

Despite predictions of impending downfall, state and Nassau Republican chairman Joe Mondello said he isn’t going anywhere, even though the Grand Old Party “took quite a drubbing” on Election Day.

“I have a term till September … and I intend to fulfill my term,” said Mondello, 70, who will mark his two-year anniversary as state GOP leader tomorrow. “I’ve never been the kind of guy to cut and run.”

What’s more, added Mondello, who has led the Nassau GOP for 25 years, “I don’t see anyone who can do it better,” though he won’t discuss his future past September of next year, when his term as state GOP leader is up.

Mondello’s declaration comes despite Republicans’ monumental loss of its last bastion of statewide power – its majority control of the New York State Senate after four decades of domination. His statements, which were made in an interview, come only days before the state’s county Republican leaders are set to meet in Albany on Wednesday for the first time since the election.

Mondello maintains the loss of the Senate cannot be put at his door. “This was not me,” said Mondello, “neither was it Dean Skelos,” referring to the now-lame duck Senate majority leader from Rockville Centre.

Mondello said the state party did not have the money to spend on Senate races when Skelos took over from Joseph Bruno at the end of the legislative session in June. By then, the party had already picked its candidates and assembled its campaign team. “The die was already cast,” he said, adding any whispered criticisms came from “weak sisters” looking “to protect their own fiefdoms.” read more–>

“See Bi-Partisanship is always us agreeing with the Democrats. Never them agreeing with us, that’s called Partisanship.”

It’s also called submitting to terrorist demands.
It never works. Why do they think it’ll work here?
