The Rising Stars program targets young professionals throughout Western New York who are interested in helping find a cure for cystic fibrosis (CF). CF is a genetic disease which affects nearly 30,000 children and adults in the United States. Currently, there is no cure.

Rising Star honorees must demonstrate leadership qualities, exhibit dedication to assisting organizations to better the lives of others and be between the ages of 25 and 40.

The program aims to inspire young professionals to get involved with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s mission early in their careers so they can be strong advocates for the Foundation.

The event takes place this Thursday August 9th at 6pm at  Acqua Restaurant 2912 Niagara Street, Buffalo, NY 14207
