For 20 years, I served as the Boston Town Clerk and Tax Collector. This was a great place for me to prepare for the Comptroller’s Office because I was responsible for balancing millions of dollars, managing municipal accounts, budgeting, purchasing, loss control, and working with bond counsel.
In addition, I have served in the U.S. Army Reserves for the past 23 years, where I was deployed three times: Operations Desert Storm, Iraqi Freedom, and Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan. My mission is to guard the long-term fiscal health of Erie County.
As your Comptroller, I defend your hard earned tax dollars and stand up for what I believe is in the best interests of our community.
For too long, our elected leaders have focused on the short term. I focus on solving problems. I work every day to eliminate waste, fraud, abuse, and loss and fight for your interests in county government and I humbly ask for your vote on Tuesday, November 6.”
